So, the boy turned 27 this week and I wanted to do something a little special. Boys are so dismissive about celebrating their birthdays but I feel like, it's a pretty obvious day to have a party and feel special- am I right? So why not take full advantage.
For Aaron's birthday, I did a birthday scavenger hunt- simplified. He was given clues and then had to guess where each one led. If he was right, then he'd get his prize.
First Stop, the Aquarium!
They had a dinosaur exhibit (kinda off topic- eh?) but I really liked this baby one.
Within the Aquarium, I had challenges he had to complete, too!
One of them was to get into the kid's tank. However, I had a slight love affair with this sweet little puffer fish pictured below. He followed me left and right and Aaron had to drag me away to go see the sharks. I didn't even get to say good-bye to him. Those big puffer fish eyes..
They never have my name..
Next!
Johnny Rockets for Peanut Butter Milkshakes!
It was getting late on a school night so he had a 'chill' option of going home and opening presents or a 'wild' option of getting a 190 Octane! We chose chill..
It was so much fun and he had no idea what was next:)
The next night we went to Rioz- YUM! His grandmother's birthday is the same day as him! I told him he looked good for his age.
This is the countdown week to our photoshoot finale!! With a shoot Wed, Thurs, and Fri- that about wraps us up for our Myrtle Beach Tour!! In case you are just catching up, DSL has been working on a special project capturing all of Myrtle Beach- resorts, attractions, aerials in a helicopter, you name it- we did it. It's been exciting, fun and exhausting! However, I feel so honored to have been able to see the shoot from start to finish. The photos are going to be unbelievable!
Here are some recent shots from last week's activities:
Our cute kiddo twins- Mamie and Frankie!
Sea Captain's House- yummy!

And this was the cute little girl we used who unfortunately busted her chin open the night before the shoot. Poor thing! From photographers falling into pools to stitches, never a dull moment with us!!
I got invited to this big, fancy opening of the new Starbucks in Myrtle Beach! It's across from Caribbean Resort on 30th Ave North. As I approached the door, the cute little Starbucks barrista said, "Are you on the list?" I was so freaking jacked (even before my coffee) to be asked that- I'm usually the one trying to con my way in! hahaha
The morning party was lots of fun because I got to see my cool clients and also try some nifty Starbucks items for free. The new place is really chic and modern. Myrtle Beach really needs more of this.
Love working with these girls!!
… and Patrick!!
Thanks Brittain Management- can't wait to have our Starbucks meetings on the reg!
Erin and I went to see Grace Potter this week at the House of Blues. She is AMAZING in concert and free tickets just make it SO much better- thanks Erin! I saw her at Hangout Music Fest and one other time but I'm really loving her new album this go around!
Can't beat a mexican date before a concert so that's just what we did!
