On the way to work last week, I spotted a trendy logo out of the corner of my eye. On the way home, I looked one more time and saw that it was a new coffee shop. Being over the whole Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts vibe, I ventured in the next morning to check it out. When I entered into the store in between the gas station on 62nd and Little Pigs BBQ, I was greatly surprised to see what I saw… Did I just step into a big city??
I was really trying to play it cool as I was meeting Kristina, the owner, but the whole time I was bouncing around in my head like a little kid excited to find such an eclectic, new spot. I grabbed my coffee, told her thank you and then ventured to tell everyone about this new coffee spot that was only 6 weeks old!
I decided I wanted to try the food so… I went back on Saturday. haha- not long for my curiosity to hold out. I was able to talk to the staff more which are EXTREMELY nice and welcoming and also did some work while I ate. They even have locals starting to populate the place.
I just really love the home-y vibe. Maybe because it kind of reminds me of my house.
The coffee is really wonderful. I will admit, I really have no idea what most of the coffees are (unless it’s a mocha latte) BUT they have really impressive equipment as well as an impressive menu.
The side to add sugars to your coffee is complete with lots of natural ingredients and even a homemade simple sugar. And let’s not forget boardgames!
What I was really excited about was to try some of their very interesting menu. However, plans for that day had to cut my culinary experience short. I decided to just grab a bagel and a coffee for the morning. However, my bagel didn’t just come with cream cheese- it was buttery and toasted and came with a side of basil infused fruit. It was So yummy, they probably thought I had a problem, I ate it so fast.
And that was just a bagel! The food menu is small but honestly, I want to try them all. They have a special called the ABC… apples, bacon and cheese served as a sandwich on french toast. Yep, I’m pretty pumped to try this next!
The pastries are also not to be missed. They have all sorts of options from pecan sticky rolls to gluten-free brownies. All looked delicious…
So, as you can see, I’m slightly excited for this new coffee shop in Myrtle Beach. I hope you guys go check it out and support the local spots. Just leave a seat for me when you go because I’m coming with!
