So I have a new dessert for you guys today. I wanted to try something new other than cakes and cupcakes and so today.. Ice Pops!
It’s hot outside so what is better than an icy treat during your day? The best thing about this pop- it have fresh fruit in it. So how about it? Want to try a Strawberries and Cream pop?
STRAWBERRIES & CREAM ICE POPS
Recipe from People’s Pops of Brooklyn
1 pound (4 cups) of fresh strawberries
3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons of simple syrup (recipe to follow)
1/4 cup heavy cream
optional: 1 tablespoon lemon juice if needed for taste
Puree your strawberries in a food processor and put it in a mixing bowl. Add in your simple syrup and mix well. Finally, add in your heavy cream and mix. Taste before pouring into your mold and see if you need to add any lemon juice.
Pour in molds and freeze for 4-5 hours.
Simple Syrup Recipe: Combine 2/3 cup cane sugar and 2/3 cup water in a sauce pan on medium. Keep stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Set aside to let cool.
