If you know me and my eating habits, I am a meat and potato kind of girl. Funky food just really isn’t my thing.
The kind of salads I usually like involve cucumbers, cheese and croutons with only ranch dressing. Which, that is not bad, however, I went out on a limb this past weekend on a night out at a new restaurant in Myrtle Beach called Fire & Smoke Gastropub.
This place was SO good and I am practically still dreaming about their signature chopped salad. SO much so… I made my own version below. These might look like normal ingredients but me making it on a salad? Unheard of. Please try this combo.. it’s so yummy, healthy, and fills you up for a meal!
Enjoy this healthy meal! Let me know if you make it at #breezycheetahpop
Hi Guys!! It’s been a super tremendous week full of exams and projects at work so I am VERY happy it’s Friday! Today’s post had me reminiscing a little bit about fun parties we’ve done in the past. Do you remember the Harry Potter Party?
This was Erin’s 25th birthday and it was so adorkable!! I had EVERYthing labeled in Harry Potter terms. Don’t mess with my on HP Trivia.. you’d lose.
And then I started thinking about the sweet little dinner party we had a few New Year’s Eve’s ago. I had 10 guests and a night of dinner and fun drinks and of course the midnight celebration! Post is HERE.
My dad had a wonderful 60th birthday. He had all of his closet friends and family there as well as some creativity from mom and I. HERE is his post from his party. And not to mention- his 60th birthday board has gotten over 500 repins on Pinterest- yay!
And last but not least just in time for Day Light Savings Time… we threw this beautiful little springtime soiree for my friend, Jordan when she got married. Post is HERE.
Hope you enjoyed my Friday memories! My how far the blog has come looking back at some of these photos. However, this makes me really want to throw another exciting party… who wants to come??
I am BEYOND excited to share this post with you today. With all of our powers combined, Breezy Cheetah Pop is now on it’s way with actual style posts! However, mine are going to be a little different. Of course, I’ll have posts with a fun outfit of choice but I have a better idea. I will be going to visit my favorite stores, shopping around and then styling an outfit just for you on the blog. That way, I can show you what is actually in stores and the fastest way you can get it!
I’m starting local this week with Gallery Boutique in Myrtle Beach. At this store, you have the best of both worlds, some clothes are chic and some are super girly. It’s a great mix of brands and the owner, Hannah is fabulous! She travels all over to find the best items for her shop. My goal with these style posts are to bring great finds to YOU so you can shop these stores yourself.
This jacket is fantastic. First off, it is lightweight so you can wear it any time of year. It also cinches at the waist, has a zip off hood, and it rolls up on the sleeves with a buttoned hook like those great chambray tops. This coat just has all the fixings!
Now, I bet you think this can’t get any cuter… well, check out this shirt underneath! Leather quarter length sleeves with a fly back. Pretty funky, right?
The accessories are really fun and colorful with the outfit being more neutral. I wanted to show you a good way to transition your fall wardrobe into the spring. Adding pops of colors helps you keep wearing those favorite winter time pieces longer.
Now the good part- You can get all of these items at Gallery in Myrtle Beach.
Please go on their website HERE
also, Like their Facebook page HERE.
And just like that, a style post! We’re not done yet though- Their is one more important person I’d like you to meet.
This is one of my Very good friends… so good, we used to be called the two princesses in high school! Jazmin is going to be helping me out with my Style posts for the blog. Her work is amazing and she is seriously a ball of energy! Just the coolest chica you could meet AND she’s super stylish to add- how perfect right? (I mean, she already matches the blog post with her coral dress!)
Please visit and like her Facebook page HERE. Excited to show you even more photography in the future!
Thank you Gallery Boutique and Jazmin Photography and Design! Now, go buy yourself a cute little Thursday sursey for the weekend… you deserve it!
I wanted to update you on some cool projects going on at school these days.
This semester I am taking 3 classes- the 2nd half of graphic design, graphic reproductions and art 101. The first 2 are my favorite. Art 101 is just memorizing facts and taking tests.
This past week, we have been submitting projects and taking midterms. I have two projects I wanted to share with you.
The first is in my Graphic Communications class. Out of a list of 20 topics, we had to choose a topic and create a collage. Along with this project, I had research, 15 sketches, an essay and discussion boards due. The topic I chose was Social Media. It actually had a lot to do with this blog. Sometimes our online life consumes us to the point of us having a love affair with our social media lives. Here’s how it turned out:
I’m not usually a collage person because I think it looks kind of 80′s when you do this in design. However, I liked how it turned out. Cross your fingers I get an A!
For my other class, Graphic Reproduction, we had a very interesting project. This was the only project due EVER in the Digital Arts program that is not done on the computer. Our task was to draw an illuminated letter and use gold leaf. I chose to keep with my ‘B’ and do a watercolor. The gold leaf is SUPER hard to deal with though. I’m still trying to figure it out and it’s DUE today! haha
With this project, we have to provide research, 15 sketches, 5 rough drafts and a final. Here’s how this one turned out.
My goal was easy with this project- make it pretty enough that I would frame it and hang it somewhere in my house. Here’s hoping this one takes home a good grade, too!
For our next projects, we’ll be working on a Movie Poster, DVD case and redesigning a MET poster (which they just told us yesterday has the possibility to actually be displayed at the museum!). Loving what this semester has taught me so far!
