During the Holidays, so many fun things are happening, it’s hard to keep a blog up to date. However, instragram is my friend. Here is what’s going on lately…
Christmas presents are starting to get used- especially my mini zen garden. Co-workers know that if I’m raking.. don’t come talk to me. hahahaha
The year of the kitty. If you didn’t know before, I am now a glorified cat lady. So much so… most of my Christmas presents had something to do with cats! Even though I did buy myself this at Target… only $5 after Christmas! ALSO- if you happen to text me.. my texts are now BLUE! I didn’t know that was even a thing you little iPhone users. Prettier photos will be coming from me because now I have a fancy smancy iPhone- Watch Out Y’all!
Some more cat Christmas presents. You can’t work in an office without kitty post it notes…
New Year’s happened! Do you remember that? haha
I shared my outfit for the night since it was so cold. This my grandmother’s fur coat.. how beautiful, eh?
And since it was cold, we used the pretty coasters before we all went to dinner.
I shared a few of my friends at dinner… 13 in all!
I shared the other side of the table…
I got excited it was 2014 when I got back to work so I put up my calendar Erin got me for Christmas. Matches perfect, dahling.
And that brings us to today and how COLD Myrtle Beach is! My car said 38 degrees at lunch time. No thank you. At least it gave me an excuse to wear fur.. but let’s face it… who needs an excuse??
Follow me on Instagram if you aren’t already!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and stay warm!
This time last year, I was planning a New Year’s Soiree- this year, we’re going out for a fun dinner and the “Southern Times Square” ball drop at Market Common. Everyone have fun and please be safe!
Happy New Year’s Friends!
Needing some New Year’s Eve inspiration myself, I’ve put together all my favorite looks around the internet for some great NYE ideas.
This Free People skirt is at Belk right now and I’m obsessed with it. It’s on sale online but I’m waiting for the Belk sale.. come on, Belk!
This BCBGeneration VBack dress is at the Gallery right now on sale. It’s so pretty and would be the perfect amount of sexy and cute for New Year’s Eve.
Two of my favorite things… sequins and leather. You can’t go wrong with any type of this combination!
And if you find a sequin jacket.. get it.
You can do that cool girl slouchy effect with some bling.
Or an awesome dress..
Just remember one thing… TOO much on New Year’s is a Good thing! Have fun ladies:)
As you have probably guessed, Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year. Our family has lots of traditions- I’m sorry I’m making it hard to keep up. One of my more glam traditions is our Carolina Coast Cotillion. An excuse to get dressed up, eat a fancy meal and dance to a band.. yeah, it’s a given year after year.
The Moore’s are looking good!
sorry, this one is a little blurry
Of course my favorite newly married couple was there!
And of course some gal shots..
I don’t usually do sparkles on my dress but I loved it this year! Even if a couple fell off every now and then.. too much dancing. ha
If you aren’t from the south or know what a cotillion is, it is a party to celebrate women coming into society which are called debutantes. My mom did it when she was little so I did it when I was a freshman in college. Basically, you have to learn to curtsey well. haha just kidding but .. seriously, you do have to curtsey! You are walked out by your dad and then joined by a date while an announcer tells the guests things like where you’re going to school or who your grandparents are. If you aren’t from the south, it sounds kinda crazy but it really is a special time with your family. This year, we had one debutante and 7 sons presented.
The dinner is fabulous and a great time to catch up!
Deb’s done, dinner’s done.. now time for dancing!
These boys and girls are serious dancers! Shagging, line dancing, booty shaking.. you name it- we do it!
So that is a look into what a southern cotillion is. I love having it as a family tradition!
