This week, I was able to work on a fabulous photo shoot with lots of my friends! We did a shoot for one of my hotel clients and it turned out so great. I love working with Matt Silk and his sister so I always turn to them when I need awesome photos that really take my clients to another level.
We had a wonderful 2 and a half days by hiring beautiful families and capturing funny and genuine moments while they were playing at the resort. I was really excited for Tuesday because I got to use my friend Jazmin and her precious family.
The kiddos were such troopers all day and not too many bribes had to happen. haha- I’m serious, some model families bribe the kids with ice cream or movie nights after the shoots. However, if I were doing it as a little kid, I would be so ready to play in the pool and not listen to the big people waving their arms and dancing behind the camera. I would have better things to do… like splash my ‘fake’ brother.
I could not believe how prepared Jazmin was all while looking perfect the whole time. She had those kids dressed and out the door in record time. I believe they’ve done this before… haha. She even had all the outfits lined up on the beds for me to pick for each shot. A photo shoot DREAM to work with!
And do you not just fall in love with her little girl?
We had lots of activities planned for them!
One of my favorite shots were the duck races. We dumped about 50 rubber duckies into the pool and the kids went crazy! It was really cute. I wish I had gotten a photo.
The day was so crazy, the little one sat down for a second in between shots and… fell asleep. I felt so bad that we tuckered her out so much! Sweet girl…
Luckily, she perked right back up with the mention of water park! hahaha
After a long day (and a test at school for me!), I was ready to climb into my bed and I was out within seconds.
The next morning was a beautiful day as well. It was hot the whole time but we couldn’t have had nicer days. Not a cloud in the sky!
We did a few breakfast shots and then headed out to do a family biking picture. Matt was shooting and I was driving!!
I mean seriously, who let me drive a limo golf cart!?!?! I wanted to go fast but I was scared he might fall off the back. I controlled myself and I think I did a pretty good job keeping steady. Only a few “slow down Bree” ‘s from him.
Mom’s were happy to have a drink later on… unfortunately, they were sad to learn it was only water with colored syrup. It’s amazing how much we stage before we shoot. Some shots like the pool, you just have to play around till you get something good. But working with a room shot, you can spend 30 minutes straightening everything and hiding every cord and fluffing every pillow. It’s an art.
We had some great shots with the family. They had gotten a little cripsy the day before but we can retouch. Thank Goodness for photoshop. haha
And to top off another perfect day, we had the funniest little kids club models! They cracked everyone up and lifted our sweaty and tired spirits! Love these cute kids…
I’ll have to post some of the real photos when I get them but I love a good behind-the-scenes look… don’t you?
Have a wonderful rest of the week!
