You know those days that you want to go back to bed? You want to crawl back into the sheets because you know your dreams will be more entertaining than what’s in store for your day? You’re simply uninspired and you can’t do anything about it.
Everybody has those days, it’s part of life. Every day, I’m not bouncing my head to Temper Trap and doodling tag lines for an email I’m working on like I am today. Right now. Yes, that’s the cool thing about inspiration. It can come back to you as fast as you lost it. I tend to get moments of unstoppable ideas and ambitious plans for the future that it’s overwhelming. Not that I’m just pushing them to the side but even my plans take careful thought and not rushing into it. Which I tend to do. But back to inspiration..
The past few weeks, I’ve been taking a blogging hiatus. Whenever I get a sense of obligation to the blog, I take a step back. It might be summer calling me, over worked with school, or maybe I’ve been tired of blogging at work to do it on my own. Even the most influential things that always spark creativity in me were no longer my go-to remedy. I needed to just relax, enjoy summer and make an excuse to not do a damn thing. It’s hard with our lives today, always running around and never having enough time to do anything truly great.
Slowly, when you make time for yourself, those things you felt so amazed by start coming back in small doses. I’m inspired by colors that compliment each other, designs I didn’t think of but totally work, street signs that are spaced apart perfectly, beer labels with hand drawn logos, people that look raggedy chic (but in all seriousness, probably took them longer to do than normal), novels about people with lives different than mine, and of course, seeing people in real life and not through their computer life.
My mind again is swimming with new exciting blog schedules and fun things to try and share with you. Breezy Cheetah Pop started as my way to bring a little light to other’s lives but it’s really become my little haven. It brings me the greatest joy to hear people mention it or ask me about it. Just that you look from time to time means more than you know.
So, out with the uninspired and in with the boom! pop! sparkle! inspiration full of glittery goodness. It’s weird, exciting and not what you expected but embrace it.
It’s all you.
